Temperatures To Stay Below Normal Right Into the Weekend

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - It's been a while since we've talked about "cooler than normal" weather but that's what we have in store this week. Our official high in Denver on Monday was 45 degrees - just one degree below normal - and that could very well be the warmest high we will see all week! The Winter Weather Advisories and Storm Warnings continue for most of the high country until Noon on Tuesday - look for anywhere from 2" to to 8" of additional snow.

For Tuesday, Denver will see gusty winds - 10-20mph with gusts to 40mph - and that will make the forecast high in the upper 30s degrees seem even colder. Sunshine makes a brief appearance for Wednesday, but we'll stay chilly with a high in the upper 30s. The you can look for partly cloudy skies on Thursday with a high in the mid 30s; cloudy and cooler with a chance for scattered snow showers on Friday with a high only near 30 degrees.

Sunshine returns just in time for the weekend: still cool Saturday with a high in the upper 30s, but into the seasonal mid 40s by Sunday.
