Suspects At Large In Denver Double Shooting
DENVER (CBS4) - Police in Denver have asked the public to look for a red Subaru with silver stripes, which may be connected with a shooting Saturday afternoon.
Police responded to 31st Avenue and Franklin Street on reports of several shots fired.
After processing the scene, two adult males were transported to the hospital in critical condition. The suspects were never located.
Police said several shots were fired by more than one suspect.
"I heard what sounded like fireworks," said Caleb House, a resident who witnessed part of the event. "It was probably 15 seconds. But in my mind span it was a very long time because it kept going."
Other residents in the area suggested the shooting was related to gang violence. However, Denver police would not confirm those details.
"I saw people running. Guns were fired. Moms were telling kids to get in the car and get out of the street," House said.
Denver police said the red Subaru was an older model. Anyone who spots the car should call 911, as the suspects were considered armed and dangerous.
