Lombardi Plays Ball With President

Spending my downtime between newscasts at the Denver Athletic Club in 2008, I noticed a rather large security presence in the gym area. Lo and behold, it's Obama. He and his staff wanted to play some pickup basketball during the DNC. So I recruited a few ballers from the weight room and off we went. Played all night. He broke his shoe. No lie. Obama's shoe unraveled in the last game. Other than that, great night. Did we win? Yes. Which is why he demanded a rematch the next time he came to town.
