Gas Station Patrons At Risk After Skimmer Found On Pump

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) – A credit card skimmer was found at a gas station in Aurora and police are encouraging people to check their bank statements for any suspicious activity.

Skimmers are devices that steal credit card information.

The latest skimmer was found at the Valero on South Buckley Road and East Mississippi Avenue.

Police believe customers who used pump No. 1 between April 7-9 could be at risk.

Those who think they are a victim are asked to file an online police report.

  1. It wasn’t just the #1 pump. My husband and brother in law both had their information stolen in that time frame at that Valero in your broadcast. The perp then purchased gas for $1 to see if it worked. Then they bought gas again and then went to Walmart store #7535 and tried to purchase $260+ dollars worth of merchandise. Thankfully, the bank denied it and called my husband. Of course he had to go through the hassle of getting a new card, etc.
