Seasonal Weather Arrives for the End of the Week and Into the Weekend

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - The official low at the airport Thursday morning plunged to 10 degrees below zero - the coldest since January 4, 2015, when we were also at -10. Downtown we were not quite as cold with a low right at the zero mark. Hazy sunshine did not do much to warm us up as the high only reached 19 at the airport and 22 degrees downtown. Snow continues in the high country, with a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for portions of the northern and central mountains until 6pm Friday for 4 to 8" of snow.

For Friday, a quick and dramatic warm-up: Look for a high of 43...and that's exactly normal for this time of year. as we head into the weekend: Partly cloudy with the chance for an isolated shower possible on Saturday, high in the upper 40s. Somewhat cooler Sunday and again with a chance for an isolated shower, otherwise partly cloudy, high in the lower 40s. We start next we partly cloudy and seasonal - high in the low 40s; then colder again Tuesday and again with a chance for isolated showers - a high only in the lower 30s.
