A Chilly Tuesday...and Even Chillier, Maybe Snow, by Friday

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - Tuesday saw a mixture of clouds and sunshine today and as promised, chilly temperatures: just 38 degrees for the official high at the airport and 39 downtown. As the major storm in the upper Midwest hasn't moved much in the past 24 hours, we continued to see mountain snow showers and also saw light snow and snow showers out over the northeastern portion of the state. Skies will clear overnight with a low in the chilly teens. For Wednesday, we can expect mostly sunny skies, but we'll stay on the cool side with a high only around 40. Thursday the clouds will move back in with another cool high in the upper 30s.

Friday will see another surge of colder air and with it we might see some scattered snow showers - a high only in the lower 30s. Sunshine then returns just in time for the weekend: look for a high on Saturday in the upper 30s and on Sunday into the upper 40s.
