Storms, Showers and Cooler Next Few Days
By Ed Greene
DENVER (CBS4) - Remember Tuesday evening in Denver - pounded by heavy rain, hail and strong winds! Wednesday was the complete opposite - partly cloudy, warm and dry. Out on the eastern plains the weather story was different - heavy storms formed and severe storm warnings - even a tornado warning - were issued. Wednesday, the official high in Denver reached 92 degrees - the last day of 90s for a while.
Much cooler for Thursday with mostly cloudy skies and widespread showers and storms - high only in the mid to upper 70s. Little change on Friday with a high in the upper 70s. Looking ahead to the tree day holiday weekend: mostly cloudy Saturday with scattered showers and storms with a high in the lower 80s. Sunday will be warmer and drier: just isolated storms with a high in the mid to upper 80s. For the holiday, Monday, Independence Day: only isolated late day storms with a high around 90.
