Winter Storm Watch & Warnings Issued As Another Cold, Wet April Storm Moves In

By Chris Spears

DENVER (CBS4) - The National Weather Service has upgraded the winter storm watches for the Front Range foothills and some of the south-central mountains of Colorado to warnings.

A new winter storm watch has been issued for the Palmer Divide south of Denver including Castle Rock, Elizabeth and Southeast Aurora.

It's all part of a winter-like spring storm system that is spinning into Colorado.

As with most spring storms there will be so many factors in play that will ultimately determine the final snow totals, including melting and the weight of the snow.

There will also be some places at elevations below 6,000 feet that go back and forth between rain and snow.
