Weekend Road Closures In Place Across The Metro Area

By Joel Hillan

DENVER (CBS4) - Three big closures will be taking place on Denver area roads this weekend.

Federal Boulevard will close Saturday, April 2 at 7 p.m. from 67th Avenue to 69th Avenue for bridge girder work. It will remain closed until Sunday, April 3 at 8 p.m. The posted detour will take drivers from 64th Avenue to Pecos Street to 72nd Avenue, before returning to Federal Boulevard.

In Aurora, Sable Boulevard closes at Exposition Avenue at some point in the evening on Sunday, April 3. The intersection is expected to remain closed for several weeks.

Then on Monday, April 4, northbound Interstate 25 will be closed from Thornton Parkway to 104th Avenue so crews can put in specialized overhead signage as part of the I-25 North Express Lanes Project.  The full northbound closure will be from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m.
