Joel Hillan has joined the CBS4 Morning News team as Traffic Specialist and he’s excited to be back on TV.
He got his start in broadcast news at KIFI-TV in Idaho Falls where he anchored the morning and noon newscasts for two years. Hillan then went on to KJCT-TV in Grand Junction where he was the evening anchor for the 5 PM, 6PM, and 10 PM newscasts as well as Executive Producer.
Most recently, Coloradans heard Hillan on Clear Channel Denver radio stations where he worked just about every shift doing news and traffic for 850 KOA as well as other Colorado Clear Channel and Lincoln Financial radio stations.
Hillan grew up in Colorado and attended Dakota Ridge High School. He currently lives in Littleton with his wife Lisa, and two children, Cole and Cara. When he’s not on air, he’s an avid musician, directing his church choir and playing the organ. He is also the director of the Colorado Mormon Chorale.
