It's Now Smooth Sailing Through Security For Some Rockies Fans
DENVER (CBS4) - In an effort to make it easier for season ticket holders to enter the stadium and keep security standards high, the Colorado Rockies announced a new way to enter Coors Field on Monday.
"Clear is a secure identity platform, so we use fast touch technology to enhance security and redefine the fan experience," said Jeff Freedman, Vice President of Partnerships for Clear.
The high-tech system uses finger print recognition technology tied to an account with a photo and name. Users then get to bypass the metal detectors.
"Gate C we'll have an area for people to enroll and then they can come in," said Kevin Kahn, Vice President of Ballpark Operations for the Rockies. "We will still continue to check guest bags as they come in. They'll validate with their finger that they are who they say they are and after the bag is checked they'll go into the ballpark."

Clear made its Major League Baseball debut in San Francisco earlier this season. It is also offered at 12 airports around the country including Denver International Airport.
The Rockies said if the trial run is deemed successful Clear could see expansion at other entrances for the 2016 season.
