March To End Warmer & Drier Than Normal For Denver

DENVER (CBS4) - March 2015 will end with temperatures in record territory along the Front Range.

It will also end in the top 20 warmest on record for Denver.

While March is known as the snowiest month of the season for the Mile High City, that wasn't the case this year.

Officially just 2.9 inches of snow has been recorded.

Looking ahead to April it can often be a turbulent month with anything from heavy snow to severe thunderstorms.

We can even see tornadoes as the severe weather season gets underway.

The average high in Denver ranges from the upper 50's at the beginning of April to the middle 60's toward the end of the month.

April is Denver's second snowiest month with about 9 inches on average.
