School Security Guard Charged With Sexting, Attempted Sex Assault
DENVER (CBS4) - A school security guard was charged Monday with sending sexual text message and soliciting sex from a student.
Enrique Vega, 22, is charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of attempted sexual assault on a child, both felonies.
He was a security guard at South High School.
The Denver District Attorney's Office said Vega exchanged and possessed sexually explicit material in August and September and took steps to lure a student into a sexual liaison.
When school officials discovered what happened, they immediately called police.
Vega was arrested on Sept. 8 and has been released on $25,000 bond. He's scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday for an advisement hearing.
