South High Security Guard Accused Of Sexting With Students

DENVER (CBS4) – A security guard at South High School exchanged nude photos with students and tried to solicit sex from one of them, police say.

Enrique Vega, 22, faces charges of sexual exploitation of a child. The school placed him on administrative leave. One of the students, both females, is 15.

The school informed parents in a letter and said it contacted police immediately after the one of the girl's friends reported the incidents.

Police said the guard told the 15-year-old he wanted to have sex with her. Court documents said the student thought Vega was "cute," so she asked him for his number and began texting him.

Another girl, according to the documents, said Vega "asked her to send him a naked photo of herself." She said he sent her nude photos in return.

"She knew she would be having sex with him that night," court documents said.

Police are investigating whether there are more victims.
