DENVER (CBS4) – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver are raffling off a $2.5 million Denver home. It’s a major fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club. The money raised goes to support the programs and facilities offered to kids all year long.
“When you give your dollars to the Boys & Girls Clubs, we can insure that our kids are doing better in school. They’re on track to graduate and to go to college or get a job,” said Erin Porteous, Vice President of Development for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver.
The house is the grand prize, and when walking into it, it’s like walking into a dream. There are spacious living areas with, four bedrooms, six bathrooms and 5,800 square feet total.
The Denver Dream Home is full of special touches, like a powder room vanity top that glows, heated tile floors in the upstairs bathrooms, crystal chandeliers, and a chef’s kitchen with high-end appliances. There is even a retractable door that blends indoor and outdoor living spaces.
“It’s truly a win-win for our community. It’s a great way to win fabulous prizes, including this $2.5 million dream house and also a win for the Boys & Girls Clubs,” Porteous added.
The house isn’t the only prize. There are 1,100 other prizes available during two early bird drawings and the grand prize drawing on May 30. Other prizes include new cars, luxury vacations and cash.
The odds of winning a prize are 1 in 50 if the ticket is bought before March 21.
“Last year’s winner walked away with over a million dollars in cash,” Porteous said.
You can support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver by buying a ticket for the 2014 Denver Dream House Raffle. The raffle runs until May 30, with the last day to buy tickets on May 16. Tickets cost $150 for one, $400 for three, or $550 for five. The grand prize is a $2.5 million dream house. The 5,800 square foot home has four bedrooms and six bathrooms.
