Waldo Canyon Fire Evacuee Accidentally Starts Wildfire In Idaho

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - A woman evacuated from the Waldo Canyon fire in Colorado Springs accidently started another wildfire in Idaho.

Krista McCann loaded up her most valuable possessions when she was forced out of her home. She drove to Oregon to stay with her father. On the way she lost control of her car and crashed in Idaho. She lost everything in the vehicle and the wreck sparked a 2,000-acre wildfire.

"This is a chance to start completely over. I have nothing. I have to get a new wardrobe, a new car, a new set of mind and move forward," McCann said.

Idaho police say a mechanical problem caused McCann to lose control and crash.
