Collard Green Fire Estimated At 100 Acres

GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Fire investigators say a fire burning along Interstate 70 was started by lightning.

The Collard Green fire has burned 100 acres since it started last week along the border of Eagle and Garfield counties on the eastern edge of Glenwood Canyon.

Two hot shot crews, three engines, an air tanker and a helicopter have been working the fire. No structures were being threatened.

Fire crews say hot and dry conditions are making it tough to get the fire under control.
