Top 10 Vines By The Colorado Rockies So Far This Season

DENVER (CBS4) - The first quarter of the baseball season has had some ups and plenty of downs for the Rockies, and the organization's social media team has been there to document some of the interesting parts of it.

If you're a follower of the team's Twitter page, one thing that probably has caught your eye is the Vines the team posts. That's those extremely short, looping videos that can sometimes keep you glued to your screen a lot longer than you might expect.

In our opinion, the following are the Top 10 videos the team has placed on Vine this year.

No. 10:

This Vine was just posted a few days ago. It shows Charlie Blackmon, Carlos Gonzalez and others in what seems like an unending line of Rockies players slapping hands after a win at Coors Field. There's some cool audio to go along with this one: as the clip loops you hear the hands slapping in an almost rhythmic way. (Be sure to activate the volume for these clips!)

Spring training Vine alert! Maybe this should be titled "I've got it, I've got it! ... I don't got it."

No. 8

Certainly this is not something you'd expect to see on a Vine of a pro baseball team. Pitcher Christian Friedrich can really juggle a soccer ball ... or whatever that ball is.

No. 7

The 20th anniversary of Coors Field didn't go unnoticed in Denver. Lots of players from the Rockies team at the time returned for some reflection. This Vine shows an interesting laser design drawing of the stadium, with some catchy 90s techno music to go along with it.

No. 6

The cool thing about some of these Vines is how they take you behind the scenes. This video shows the action inside a pitching cage somewhere deep inside the depths of Coors Field. Look at the heat on that pitch by Tyler Matzek.

No. 5

Third baseman Nolan Arenado has had some memorable catches this year, and he's shown some serious force behind the plate. This Vine shot in the Cincinnati visitors' dugout starts out showing a fist in the foreground. Then Arenado emerges with some bats and his glove and he notices the fist, then quickly gives it a bump with his own fist.

No. 4

Don't you wish you had a swing like Cargo? Gotta love the way the ball just seems to explode off the bat in this slowed-down clip.

No. 3

This Spring Training clip, once again starring Carlos Gonzalez, is vastly underrated (less than 10,000 loops at the time of this article's publication onine). Just look at Cargo's composure behind the plate!

No. 2

For the longest time baseball was America's favorite pastime, and for many sports fans it still is. One of the joys of attending a game is hearing the roar of the crowd when the players take the field. This Vine captures that sight (and sound) pretty well -- all from a camera positioned at a great angle. Just try not to watch this Vine a few times and not be in the mood to sprint down to Coors Field to catch the next game.

No. 1

Baseball in reverse.
