JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)– The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help locating a teenager who went missing on Monday morning. Jason Abel, 17, was last seen at Golden High School.
UPDATE: After an extensive investigation concerning Jason Abel, #JCSO has determined that he is not considered to be at risk/endangered. Extensive resources have been used in attempt to find him, including interviewing those who had info about him. He is still an active runaway.

He is considered an at-risk runaway and may be in the area. Jason was wearing a grey shirt the day he went missing.

Jason’s family said they are worried about his safety because he has special needs.
