Tips Led To The Arrest Of Jose Hernandez, Suspected Northwest Denver Drug Dealer

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police say tips led to the arrest of a 42-year-old suspected drug dealer in northwest Denver. They arrested Jose Hernandez last month, and he now faces 30 counts including manufacturing and distributing controlled substances.

Investigators say pounds of suspected meth and thousands of suspected fentanyl pills were found, and they also found heroin and a number of guns.

Hernandez has a court hearing scheduled for March 10.

"Last month, after receiving tips from astute community members, DPD officers investigated suspected drug dealing at a residence in northwest Denver. The investigation led to the arrest of Jose Hernandez... who has since been charged by the Denver District Attorney's Office with 30 felony counts, including three counts of Manufacturing or Distributing a Controlled Substance of greater than 225 grams and Possession of a Firearm by a Previous Offender. Additionally, multiple pounds of suspected methamphetamine, thousands of suspected fentanyl pills (approximately 850 grams of fentanyl), a large quantity of suspected heroin and several guns were seized," DPD stated on Facebook.
