Study: Fort Carson Named Among Army Posts Where Female Soldiers Face Greater Risk Of Sexual Assault
FORT CARSON, Colo. (CBS4)- A new study includes Fort Carson as one of the U.S. Army bases where female soldiers face a greater risk of sexual assault and harassment than at other posts. The Rand Corp Study shows that Army bases in four states account for more than one-third of all active duty sexual assaults in 2018.
Soldiers at Fort Hood and Fort Bliss in Texas faced the highest risk.
Fort Carson joins Fort Campbell in Kentucky and Fort Riley in Kansas as Army posts with a high risk of assault.
