Girl Scout Troop Builds ADA Compliant Archery Range In Thornton

THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4) - A local Girl Scout troop used their skills to build an archery range in Thornton. Troop 62511 teamed up with Alpine Lumber to design the range, which is compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act regulations.

The Girl Scouts say they wanted to promote the mental and physical benefits of the sport.

The range is free for everyone to use.

The troop earned the Silver Award for the project, which is the highest honor Girl Scouts can receive in middle school.

The archery range is located at 5990 E 100th Ave. Thornton, CO 80229.
