Coronavirus And Diabetes: Small Daily Changes Can Make 'Tremendous' Difference For People Who Are Obese
DENVER (CBS4) -- November is Diabetes Awareness Month. Kelly Werthmann talked to Dr. Frank Chae, with the Denver Center for Bariatric Surgery, about the impact coronavirus is having on those with diabetes.
Increasing physical activity and losing as little as 5% of body weight can help prevent diabetes, Dr. Chae said. Simply walking a few minutes more each day can make a difference.
Limiting processed foods and adding bright-colored foods can also make a "tremendous impact."
