Pickup Truck Driver Strikes, Kills Woman On Mississippi Avenue, Then Drives Off

DENVER (CBS4) - Police in Denver are looking for the driver of a pickup truck who was involved in a hit-and-run crash on Monday night. An adult female was struck by the truck at South Shoshone Street and West Mississippi Avenue.

Police said the suspect vehicle was involved in a non-injury crash in a parking lot in the 1000 block of S. Raritan Street. While speeding away from that crash, the driver lost control and struck the woman walking on the sidewalk.

The truck was described as follows:

- 2014 white Dodge Ram 1500
- License place ABSX81

The suspect driver, an adult male, and the vehicle were last seen in the area of S. Santa Fe Drive and C-470. A Medina Alert was issued for the white Dodge Ram 1500 pickup.

The woman who was hit was seriously injured and then died from those injuries. Police are asking anyone with information about the hit-and-run to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
