Alluvial Fan Hiking Area In Rocky Mountain National Park Closed For Trail Work
ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo. (CBS4) -- A popular hiking area in Rocky Mountain National Park was closed Monday and will remain closed for a couple months.
Crews are doing major trail work in the Alluvial Fan hiking area through Sept. 24. It will be closed weekdays and weekends.
Park officials say they're hauling up heavy equipment for rock wall work and trail grading. They're also re-surfacing the trailhead area.
