EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- A small outbreak of coronavirus cases in Eagle County is linked to younger people. The health department says the latest outbreak involved local teenagers between 16 and 18 years old.

There are 11 newly confirmed cases. Eagle County said investigators have noted an "unwillingness" among some infected people and families to isolate at home.

Everyone infected is asked to self-quarantine for 14 days.

"As you might imagine, some of that contact tracing is more challenging, kids don't keep track of people they've seen, or find it as easy to remember what they've done over the last 14 days," said Eagle County Communications Manager Kris Widlak.

In Garfield County, 40 new cases have been reported in the past week and the entire county has only had a total of 240 cases.
