Debris From Rainstorm Wipes Out Part Of Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Line
DURANGO, Colo. (CBS4) - Recent storms washed out a portion of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad tracks. The damage is about five miles outside of Silverton, the Durango Herald reports.
D&SNG officials say they hoped to resume limited runs on Tuesday. Now the attraction might not be up and running for at least another eight weeks.
A large amount of debris jammed at the railroad's bridge causing about 40 feet-worth of damage.
