Flames Shoot From Wheat Ridge Home Occupied By Squatters
WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (CBS4)- A fire swept through a home near 40th and Kipling in Wheat Ridge overnight. Fire investigators with West Metro Fire Rescue said people experiencing homelessness were squatting in the home.
The roof partially collapsed which made it dangerous for fire crews.
Until the building can be evaluated by engineers and shored up, the cause will not be determined because it is not safe for investigators.
