Burning Tanker Closes I-70 At C-470 During Monday Morning Commute
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- A tanker caught fire on Monday morning where Interstate 70 meets C-470. The fire resulted in the closure of eastbound lanes of I-70 at C-470.
The burning tanker blocked traffic for a time while crews put out the fire and investigated.
The fire was contained to the engine compartment and cab of the semi. No one was hurt. The driver was able to escape unharmed.
Golden Fire investigators say what caused the fire is unknown.
