Northern Colorado To Get New VA Clinic In Loveland

LOVELAND, Colo. (AP) - Planning is in the works to build a new Veterans Affairs clinic in Loveland that will give veterans in northern Colorado better access to health care. The Cheyenne Veterans Affairs Health Care System announced that the clinic is expected to open by the winter of 2022.

VA spokesman Sam House tells the Loveland Reporter-Herald that more than half of the population that is served in the Cheyenne system area comes from northern Colorado.

House says the facility will more than double the space of the current Loveland and Fort Collins clinics combined and serve more than 200 veterans a day.

Construction should start by next summer and take two years to complete.

When the new facility opens in 2022, the VA will close its Fort Collins clinic.
