Injured Great Blue Heron Rescued Near Koi Pond
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers captured a Great Blue Heron that was injured. The bird was spotted near a koi pond in Colorado Springs.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers were called to help the bird.
They were able to gently capture the large bird and get it into the cage. It was taken to the Nature and Wildlife Discovery Center in Pueblo where it can heal before being released into the wild.
