Inmate's Death At Denver Jail Possibly A Homicide

DENVER (CBS4)- The Denver Police Department says an altercation between inmates at the Denver City Jail Monday morning is now being investigated as a homicide.

Investigators converged on the facility Monday morning after a inmate passed away.

There are no details at this time about the deceased person's identity or a possible cause of death. But CBS4's Brian Maass has been told the person died during a confrontation between inmates.

Maass has also learned the victim was 42 years old, 6-foot-4, and was due to appear in court today.
