Body Found In River Downstream From Site Of Car Crash
GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - Emergency crews on Monday afternoon recovered a body found in Clear Creek west of Golden.
Investigators believe the body is tied to a car that crashed into the creek last Thursday night. Initial searches did not find a body in that car.
The body on Monday was found almost a mile downstream from where the car was found.
Highway 6 through Clear Creek Canyon was shut down in the early afternoon when the recovery operation started.
It remained closed at 3 p.m. on Monday.
