Apartment Residents Heard Cracking Noises Before Roof Collapse
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - Construction crews may be to blame for a roof collapse at a Lakewood apartment building on Sunday.
Residents told CBS4 they heard cracking noises after workers stacked packages of shingles on the roof. Firefighters evacuated everyone before the roof eventually caved in.
Investigators think the roof of second apartment building could also give way. Those people are also out of their homes Sunday night.
About 24 units are affected impacting about 80 people.
