Police Warn Of 'Puffing' Dangers
DENVER (CBS4)- As the temperatures continue to drop, police in Denver are warning drivers about the dangers of puffing, or leaving your vehicle running unattended.
Police shared the story of one woman whose car was stolen while she left it running to keep it warm.
The thief crashed her car and totaled it. Now she's paying for her mistake.
"This has been the hardest time ever. It's like my whole life has been flipped upside down," said the woman. "I know everyone runs late but this has definitely been a learning experience."
Police said it only takes seconds for a thief to steal a car that's unlocked and already running.
