DENVER (CBS4)– Transamerica has partnered with Habitat for Humanity to build a home in Denver.
The project is under construction on Decatur Street and College Avenue in Southwest Denver.
For the first time, the company is sponsoring a home build.
Many of the company’s 500 employees are volunteering at the site to complete the construction of a family home from the ground up.
“It’s a bigger commitment because you need to fill all those build dates because there is a lot of building, obviously, that goes in a whole house and it’s a bigger commitment financially from the company so we’ve really stepped up the partnership with Habitat,” said Transamerica spokesman Marijn Smith.
Once complete, the home will go to a Denver family in need.
