The grandfather of the missing child apparently called 911 to report the child missing when he learned from the child's mother that the boy had not been seen since Saturday.

Authorities told the CBS affiliate in Cheyenne that the mother's boyfriend gave the child to to a male named Santiago on Sunday so that he could take the child fishing. Neither the mother nor the mother's boyfriend knew Santiago's last name or where he lived.
