A-Basin Opening Starts Colorado Ski Season
SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. (AP) - Colorado's ski season is underway.
Arapahoe Basin became the first resort in the state to open for the season Friday morning. Skiers and snowboarders lined up early to take advantage of the single intermediate open for now.
The resort began making snow Oct. 3 and has an 18 inch base.
Loveland Ski Area has also been making snow and officials there expect to kick off their season sometime next week.
