The resort will open at 9 a.m. on Friday. The Black Mountain Express lift will be the only lift open and it will provide access to the intermediate trail High Noon.

Loveland Ski Area, which usually races with A Basin to be the first to open, is among the other Colorado ski areas that have the snowguns out and are hoping to open to skiers and snowboarders soon.

CBS4 meteorologist Ashton Altieri reports some areas in Colorado’s high country got 1 to 4 inches of snow Tuesday night.
