Sakic Hits Links For Food Bank Of The Rockies

SEDALIA, Colo. (CBS4)- Joe Sakic and some local celebrities hit the links for a good cause on Wednesday for the 19th annual Joe Sakic Celebrity Golf Tournament.

Proceeds from the tournament at the Sanctuary Golf Course benefit the Food Bank of the Rockies.

Over the years the tournament has helped the food bank provide more than 18 million meals for children in need.

"We're here to help feed kids, get them the nutrition that they need to do well in school and sports and it's a cause that isn't going away and the support we get has been remarkable here in the city," said Sakic.
