Runners Prepare For New Fortitude 10K Race
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- A popular race in Colorado has expanded to another city. Organizers with the Bolder Boulder announced the start of the Fortitude 10K in Fort Collins.
The race will kickoff Labor Day weekend 2017.
Organizers said the name seemed an obvious choice considering what Colorado has to offer runners.
"We think that any race at this altitude in Colorado, so about 5,000 feet, you've got to have some sort of fortitude or some sort of boldness to be able to run. We have both," said Fortitude race director Cliff Bosley.
The race will start on the southwest part of Fort Collins and end at the new football stadium at Colorado State University.
The race will coincide with the opening of the stadium which is currently under construction.
