Father Of Missing Man: 'We Haven't Given Up Hope'

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - Missing person posters with Eric Pracht's face on them have been posted all around the western edge of Lakewood.

Large-scale searches for Pracht were called off in late July, but a smaller group of searchers aren't giving up in their search for clues to his disappearance. On Wednesday about 15 people spent the evening searching in the gullies near Green Mountain.

"We haven't given up hope. We're still out here looking," said his father Randy.

Pracht's home is located in that area. Nearly a month ago he was hosting a party and things got heated when the topic of police shootings came up. Pracht left the apartment to cool down. He was not wearing shoes and didn't leave the area in his car. He hasn't been seen since.

Friends and family of Pracht have recently been searching through some rough terrain that's hard to navigate through.

"They're just covering all the bases and making sure he didn't stumble into something like this or end up here," Randy Pracht said.

Pracht was employed as an EMT in Park County but commuted from Lakewood.

"A lot of the people in this group didn't even know Eric. They are just in the neighborhood and thought they'd help out," Randy said.

The search group expects to be in the area again when they can gather enough people.

"We just keep up home and pray that we find him," Randy said. "Every father in the world would go through the same thing if they could find their son."

Anyone with information about Eric's disappearance is asked to call Lakewood police.
