PARACHUTE, Colo. (AP) — Firefighters hope to fully contain a wildfire burning along the border of Mesa and Garfield counties by the end of Thursday.
The Spring Creek 2 Fire southeast of Parachute initially forced the evacuation of about two dozen homes and has destroyed some outbuildings, trailers and vehicles.READ MORE: COVID Travel Restrictions Not Expected To Ease Up
It has burned about 640 acres since being started by lightning on Aug. 12.
