2 Suspects In Custody After Officer-Involved Shooting

DENVER (CBS4) - Two suspects are in custody following a chase and officer-involved shooting in Denver Sunday night.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., officers tried to pull over a car at East 35th Avenue and Olive Street. The two men inside the vehicle then took off running, and were chased by officers.

One of the officers caught up with a suspect at East 33rd Avenue and Olive Street, where gunfire was exchanged. The suspect was hit and taken to the hospital. Despite being listed as critical condition, police say the injures appear to be non-life threatening.

Soon after, officers were able to catch up to the second suspect at East 36th Avenue and Oneida Street. This suspect was taken into custody without incident.

A white Chevy Tahoe was on scene and the focus of investigators for much of the morning.
