Crews Recover Body Of Man Who Fell Into Poudre River On Friday

LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4) - The body of a man who fell into the Cache la Poudre River Friday night has been recovered.

Deputies say a family member flagged down a driver for help. The driver then drove to an area that had cellphone service so they could call 911.

Rescue crews couldn't find the 33-year-old Loveland man Friday or Saturday. They picked up the search Sunday morning and located the body.

"The man's body was discovered in the Poudre River near Upper Landing just under one mile down river from where he was last seen," the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

The victim's name hasn't been released.

The current Poudre River water conditions are relatively normal for this time of year
