On Wednesday, he posted this update, "Hello Family & Friends - Yesterday after 8 hours, surgeons from the University of Colorado Hospital & Denver Health, successfully removed a 15 pound low-grade malignant Chondrosarcoma tumor.

I am grateful the cancer did not spread and that it was contained in the tumor. I am officially a cancer survivor. I have a long road to recovery, but doctors feel optimistic.

I want to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I have literally felt all of the love & support through this process."
