Coroner: No Drugs, Alcohol In Taxi Driver Involved In Deadly Crash
DENVER (CBS4)- The coroner investigating a deadly crash caused by a taxi driver going the wrong way said no alcohol or drugs were detected in the driver.
Police say Abdurazaq Bilal, 27, was driving his Metro Taxi northbound in the southbound lanes of Monaco Parkway near Yale Avenue when he hit a silver Hyundai head on last month.
The taxi rolled and burst into flames and both drivers died.
Debris from the crash was found up to a mile away from the crash scene.
Metro Taxi says Bilal had been driving for the company since September. The company is cooperating with the investigation.
