Secret Facebook Pages Used To Sell Drugs Disappear From Internet

GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4)- Facebook pages designed to sell drugs to teenagers are disappearing from the internet after a bust by the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office.

Drugs including pot, LSD, molly and more were for sale on the secret pages like Fly Society 420. But for teens, it didn't seem that shocking.

"Drugs online... people go pick 'em up," said one student.

An undercover CBS4 producer contacted a seller, who had posted fentanyl for sale, offering $20 each. The seller wrote back that another person offered $25 then canceled the deal stating it was all over the news.

"Notified parents, the schools and attacked it with a collaborative effort with the schools," said Jeffco DA Investigator Mike Harris.

One site wasn't selling only drugs but also listed a gun for sale.

The Jeffco DA has advice for parents who want to know more about secret Facebook groups.
