Denver's Interstate 70 Expansion Challenged By Sierra Club Over Clean Air
DENVER (CBS4) - Environmental groups are trying to stop the expansion of Interstate 70 through Denver.
The more than $1 billion project would widen the interstate and take part of it underground.
The Sierra Club along with others filed suit challenging new Environmental Protection Agency clean air requirements.
The Colorado Department of Transportation is saying emissions from traffic would not violate those new requirements.
