DENVER (CBS4)– Some of the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers most seasoned fans made a friendly Super Bowl wager on Thursday.
Seniors at Denver’s Clermont Park retirement community made the bet over Skype with Plantation Estates Community in North Carolina.
Residents and staff on the losing side will have to sport the winner’s gear and share pictures on social media.
Both communities have been collecting donations. If the Broncos win the money goes to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of team owner Pat Bowlen.
With a Panther’s win, the money will benefit a cancer research fund in honor of a former Carolina player and coach.
